Feeding the Root Chakra
Feeding the Root Chakra ~ the Grounding Chakra –
The Root Chakra is located at the base of the spine and it represents physical well-being, self-reliance, and survival. When the Root Chakra is out of balance you might notice feeling “all over the place”, find that you are seconding guessing yourself and others, or acting out with self-destructive behaviors. If so, adding in foods and spices that feed the chakra will assist in bringing your chakra system back into balance.
Remember: No matter which chakra(s) may be out of balance EVERYONE MUST stay HYDRATED. Water is needed to nourish our entire mind-body system.
Start by adding in more root vegetables such as carrots, potatoes, onions, garlic and add protein-rich foods such as eggs, beans, tofu, and peanut butter. Remembering any food sensitivities or allergies you might have. Lastly, adding spices like horseradish, hot paprika, and chives to your daily diet will help keep the Root Chakra balanced.
A balanced root chakra allows us to feel grounded. In other words, we feel strong, balanced, we have a drive to participate in life. Also, the balanced root chakra is the starting point in keeping the rest of the chakras balanced.
Information provided in the chakra posts are based on the book, “Healing at the Vortex”. It’s a practical guide with step-by-step instructions on how to balance and maintain your chakra system. For more information the book is available on Path2Change.com and Amazon.
