An Attitude of Gratitude

There are times that we feel so overwhelmed, especially during this time of year, with the holidays, family visits, finances, bad weather, etc. and in this state our body becomes tense and seemingly full of anxiety and fear. Our minds become scattered and we forget the things. We feel as though there is no light at the end of the tunnel as we try to maneuver through the tension, stress, and anxiety. However, it doesn’t have to be this way. If we can take a few minutes each morning, before we even allow our feet to hit the floor, we can set up a positive day and feel strong, more confident, have and practice more self control and be able to face every situation with love, peace and a relaxed mind, body, and spirit. This simple exercise will change the way you view your day, the way you view yourself, and the way you view others.

When you wake up, before your feet even hit the floor, allow yourself a moment to be grateful that you are here on this earth for another glorious day, sending the day before you, love and light. Think about those loved ones that bring you a sense of love and appreciation and be grateful for them, send them love and light. Think about those in your life and around the world that need healing, pray for them to be healed and send them love and light. Focus all of your attention and intention on GRATITUDE! Allow yourself to be grateful for all that you have in your life, right at the moment. Be grateful for all of the good that is coming into your life, each and every moment, from this moment forward. Be grateful for how far you've come in your life.

When you focus on the negative, you are only reinforcing the negative and setting yourself up for a day filled with the same, negative. You give negativity power over you, power over your day, and no one wants that. However, when you focus on the things that you don’t have, when you focus on lack, you are only bringing more of a lack mentality into your energy system.

When you focus your attention on GRATITUDE, you are setting an intention of living from the best and highest place and you will begin to notice, sense and feel the shift of your own energy and the energy of those you come in contact, you raise your own energy, which in turn, allows those that you are in contact with, to feel a calm sense of well-being and hope. It is so simple, so easy, yet, many will hop out of bed and start the day running, feeling stressed and worried about the list of things that you believe need to be done.

If you take those few minutes in the morning, every morning, to set your intention of GRATITUDE, you will begin to have more fulfilling and meaning moments that will be a constant reminder of all of the good in your life. Know that as you shift your focus from worry to GRATITUDE, you will feel better, look better, and be better for it. We all know that if we look hard enough, we will find flaws in things, in people, but, why would we want to do that? Do you want others to look for our flaws? Do we want to have others judging us? Of course not, our lives, our choices, all part of the WHOLE—as we are all connected on this earth. Allow yourself permission to enjoy and focus on the positives of yourself, your job, your family and friends, your day. Allow yourself to live from a place of JOY and GRATITUDE. Release anything that no longer serves your highest good. Whether it is negative thoughts about yourself or others release it, out into the universe, where it can no longer harm you or anyone else. Give yourself permission, to see the good in everything, in everyone and know as you do this you are blessed by blessing others.
