Positive Thinking WILL Change Your Life for the Better!
Today, I was thinking about how great it is to be surrounded by people with a positive attitude. No matter what goes on in their lives, they remain steadfast in their goal to remain positive. Just being around them—lifts us up and reminds us of what life is really about.
My thoughts were focused on those that live their life with joyful purpose regardless of what they may have faced. They just embrace and look for the best in life, no matter what. I then thought of those that seem to live in a victim mentality, believing that everything is just “happening” TO them. These are the people that talk incessantly about the negatives or what someone has done to them, rather than asking what it was they could learn and then moving on. Because, as we all know, we are ALWAYS learning and the lessons we learn can either come through pleasure or pain, ultimately it is our choice.
I don’t know about you, but, I enjoy being around positive people. I don’t think of it as a gift, I think of it as a way of life. To be positive, even in the face of an overwhelming circumstance, is to embrace that we are blessed with a strong faith and knowing that everything is coming together in its right and perfect time. So, if you are not living the positive life that you once did, or if you are tired and ready to let go of negativity, begin by asking, what I believe to be the ultimate question, “What is it that I can learn from this experience?” When we can think and live a positive life-style, we are happier, healthier, and more balanced. If you are suffering from illness or dis-ease, and you have been asking “Why me?” then consider reframing your thoughts and your question to “What is it that I can learn from this experience?” Affirm daily that you are open and willing to be more positive. Affirm that you are healthy, happy, and whole. Affirm that are ready to have some fun in your life and learn to laugh again. Think of a time in your life when you were able to laugh, not only with others, but when you could laugh at yourself when you did something silly; Live your life as if you were experiencing it for the first time, with joy, excitement, and a zest for life. Think about some things that you have been putting off—like a great vacation, getting a massage, or searching out new healing modalities. DO something to get your self out of negative thinking. If you find that you are being pulled down by someone else’s negativity, give yourself a break from them, and see if things change for you. If they do, you just might need to do some weeding out of the old, negative people, and plant seeds for a new life, filled with positive people and positive experiences. YOU CAN DO IT!
I know that there are some of you that are stuck in a rut, a rut of negativity. You can change your mind at any moment and you don’t need to ask permission of anyone but yourself. Give yourself permission to change! Be the one that people love to be around because of your positive outlook on life. Be the one that lifts others up, just being in your presence. YOU CAN DO IT!
Many Blessings on your journey,
